This is an exciting opportunity for someone with manufacturing, production, warehouse, or operational experience who enjoys leading by example, solving problems, and developing others in a fast-paced environment
As a Manufacturing Technician Level 1, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our production lines, goods-in operations, and dispatch areas. You'll act as the first point of contact for operators on shift, helping to maintain safety, quality, productivity, and performance standards across multiple operational areas.
You'll be responsible for coordinating labour, leading changeovers, troubleshooting minor issues, monitoring performance, and coaching team members to develop their skills and knowledge. Working closely with the MT2 team, you'll help deliver operational excellence while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities / Accountability of the Role:
- Leading and supporting daily production and warehouse activities.
- Coordinating labour, breaks, training schedules, and operational priorities.
- Leading line start-ups, shutdowns, and product changeovers.
- Monitoring performance and updating key operational KPIs.
- Identifying and resolving minor operational and equipment issues.
- Supporting safety, quality, hygiene, and GMP standards.
- Managing stock control, material movements, and traceability requirements.
- Coaching and developing colleagues to enhance team capability.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence projects.
- Acting as the communication link between operators and leadership teams.
What you will need for the Role:
We're looking for someone who can combine technical capability with strong people skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience within manufacturing, production, warehousing, or a similar environment.
- A strong understanding of safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Mechanical awareness and confidence troubleshooting basic issues.
- Experience working within a fast-paced operation.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Strong numerical and written skills.
- A positive, collaborative approach to coaching and supporting others.
