Location: Homebased with travel across the England
As a Customer Manager, you will be responsible for developing and growing relationships across a portfolio of Wholesale and Convenience customers. You will lead commercial discussions at buyer level, deliver sustainable growth plans and work closely with cross-functional teams to maximise sales, profit and market opportunities.
You will play a key role in shaping customer strategy, identifying new business opportunities and ensuring the successful delivery of Joint Business Plans, promotional programmes and new product launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of Wholesale and Convenience customers.
- Deliver sales, profit, distribution and growth targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders and buying teams.
- Develop and implement annual customer plans aligned to wider business objectives.
- Lead Joint Business Planning processes and commercial negotiations.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities.
- Analyse performance data and provide commercially focused recommendations.
- Collaborate with Category, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Operations teams to deliver customer success.
- Support the launch of new products and customer activation programmes.
- Manage promotional investment and customer spend effectively.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience within an FMCG sales or account management environment.
- Strong understanding of Wholesale and Convenience retail channels.
- Experience managing customer P&Ls and driving profitable growth.
- Track record of developing and delivering Joint Business Plans.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with an analytical mindset.
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively across multiple functions.
