Are you passionate about food quality, food safety, and delivering products that customers can trust?
We're looking for a proactive and detail-focused Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our Technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in food manufacturing or FMCG who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and wants to play a key role in ensuring our products consistently meet the highest standards of quality and food safety.
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you'll be responsible for monitoring and maintaining food safety, quality, and legal compliance standards across our manufacturing operation. You will work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Technical teams to ensure products meet customer expectations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting routine quality inspections and product assessments throughout the manufacturing process.
- Monitoring production to ensure all products meet specification requirements.
- Carrying out product, water and environmental sampling, testing, and recording results accurately.
- Supporting the investigation of quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintaining quality records, documentation, and traceability information.
- Supporting customer, internal and third-party audits.
- Monitoring hygiene and environmental standards across site.
- Managing organoleptic taste panels and reporting findings.
- Supporting product investigations, customer complaints and recall activities where required.
- Promoting a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the business.
- Identifying and reporting health and safety concerns.
- Verifying equipment checks, including metal detectors, x-ray systems and checkweighers.
What you will need for the Role:
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- A good understanding of HACCP, GMP, food safety systems and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Competency using Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including occasional day and night shift cover when required.
- Confidence to make decisions and stop production where food safety or quality standards may be compromised.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working in a QA or Technical role.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and environments
